Galeeco — new site, then steady growth

Galeeco Automotive is an Auckland vehicle-repair workshop with two branches. We rebuilt their website from the ground up on WordPress, then stayed on to run their growth marketing — SEO, local search and monthly audits.

The brief

A workshop that needed to be found online

Galeeco does everything from a routine service to engine and transmission rebuilds, across European and Japanese makes, cars and heavy trucks. The work was there; the website was not pulling its weight — it didn't clearly present the range of services, didn't treat the two branches as distinct locations, and wasn't built in a way search engines or AI assistants could make sense of. The job was a full rebuild, then an ongoing push to grow how many people find the workshop through search.

The rebuild

A new site on WordPress

Rebuilt from scratch on WordPress

A new site the workshop’s team can update themselves — services, vehicle makes, branch details and contact, all editable without a developer.

Structured for two branches

Mount Wellington and Mount Roskill each have their own address, phone and hours, marked up so search engines and AI assistants read them as separate locations.

Service and vehicle pages

Dedicated pages for each service category and the makes they work on, so a keyword search for a specific repair or car brand lands on a relevant page.

Built to be read by machines

Clean headings, real text rather than text baked into images, fast core pages and full location schema — the groundwork that lets the site rank for “near me” searches and get quoted in AI answers.

Where it stands

Six months of numbers

Traffic is from Google Analytics, the branch figures from Google Business Profile — both March to August 2026. Audit scores are from our own SEO/GEO tool, first run July 2026.

What it means
It's working

Galeeco now turns up in the AI answers

Ask ChatGPT for a truck service or diesel engine rebuild in Auckland and Galeeco Automotive is on the list. Ask Google in AI Mode and it returns a full card — 4.7 stars, the Mount Wellington address, and its own pages cited as sources for truck engine rebuilds. Before the rebuild the old site was effectively unreadable to these systems; its GEO score now sits at 80, up from the high-60s, with SEO at 85.

Google organic is now the top channel

3,371 sessions came from organic search in six months, ahead of every other source. Visitors land first on the homepage and the services section — the keyword-targeted pages built to answer “what does this workshop do?” — not just people who already knew the name.

Both branches are getting found

Across Mount Wellington and Mount Roskill, the two Google Business Profiles drew more than 2,100 interactions and over 600 phone calls in the six months, trending up through the middle of the period at both locations.

Ongoing work

Growth marketing, monthly

Since launch we've run Galeeco's growth marketing as an ongoing programme rather than a one-off project.

SEO

Keyword and content work across service and location pages, fixing technical issues surfaced by monthly audits.

Local search

Getting the two branches to show up for Auckland repair searches and keeping the Google Business Profiles consistent.

Ongoing audits

Every page is re-audited on a schedule for SEO and GEO, so regressions are caught and the score trend is visible.
